Former Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President, Sam Nyamwea has issued a notice to the federation of his intentions to sue.
Through a letter drafted by his legal team, Nyamwea has accused the federation contempt and defamation.
“In essence, your decision is a non starter as you cannot purport to suspend our client whereas he retired from football and is not a member of the FKF,” read the letter.
This comes in retaliation to a letter from the federation declaring a 10-year suspension from all matters football for ‘violating the body’s constitution’. Nyamwea had also barred FKF from interfering with the running of the Kenya Premier League.
He also termed the decision to circulate the contents of the letter to the media as “reckless, ill advised and juvenile”.
