FIRST EVER BARCLAYS OPEN “HOLE-IN-ONE” CAR WON BY 18-YEAR-OLD FINN

Finland’s Oliver Lindell makes history today as the first golfer in the Barclays Kenya Open to fire a Hole-in-One at the Muthaiga Golf Club.

The 18-year-old player fired his 7-iron 173m over the water hazard par three 13th, officially designated Hole-In-One hole.

In the first round, Lindell shot two over par 73 then shot an eagle three at the 10th before firing his hole one to go four under par for the day after six holes.

Every year since 1970, a car is donated for the player who shots in the Hole-In-One during the Open including Mercedes from D.T. Dobie and Land Rover.

This year, CMC Group donated a Ford Ranger WildTrak valued at KSh6.9 million.

For the first time ever, a player – Lindell – has clinched the Hole-In-One car.
